I grew up in a town called Strathalbyn, in South Australia, where I Started archery as a 14 year old. I made my first Olympic team four years later - the Seoul Olympics in 1988. In all I attended Five Olympic games and Six World Outdoor Target Championships. Also two World Indoor Championships, and three World Field Championships - most recently in 2016.
The Highlights were Winning the 1991 World Championship Individual Gold, and winning the Individual Gold at the Sydney Olympics in 2000.
I cannot remember how many National Target Championships I won, but I think the number is eleven... and then there are some field titles too.
After spending many of those 30+ years living in Canberra, I've finally moved back to my hometown of South Australia, and although i rarely compete any more I do still manage to get out and shoot from time to time, and find myself coaching a small number of archers.
